AFTER OUR guests have enjoyed a tasty seafood and Swahili lunch, they’re free to relax in our Lazy Lagoon pool — or explore the charms of Wasini Island. The coral garden where the Wasini Women’s Boardwalk sits atop is a place that reminds one of Stonehenge — but from a different vantage point.
When the full moon approaches, this area is completely covered by the rising ocean waters. We think it’s magical.

WE LOVE dolphin watching, and our Charlie Claw’s team will make absolutely sure that you get a good view of all the action. Our dhows have walkie talkies to quickly relay dolphin spotting information to other. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

SPECIAL PROGRAMME
Charlie Claw’s is the only tour on the Island with a package full of fun and adventure suitable to all generations! Having been in the business for more than 27 years, we are more experienced and have tailor made programmes to suite your schedule.
- Departs from either Mombasa at 9.00am or 10.00am from Diani and arrive in Shimoni at around 11.00am.
- Tour the famous former Shimoni Slave caves upon arrival before boarding the boat. A community project, whereby part of the money paid on the tour goes into the cave kitty.
- The boat departs to look for dolphins and the crew member in charge of safety on board explains the day’s programmes while the guests enjoy the ride. Soft drinks and biscuits are included on board.
- The dhow sails back to the snorkeling site for fantastic snorkeling or glass viewing on a small boat with glass bottom viewers. Our crews are qualified and experienced, those who cannot swim have the chance to fulfill their dreams, the crews will guide and help you through out. Those who had never dived before have the opportunity to try the fun dive, no experience needed; it is safe, fun and fantastic experience. A special offer for single and fun divers for a couple, buy 1 get 1 free. All snorkeling equipments are provided free of charge.
- The programme is flexible, those who do not wish to stay longer on board, can come off the boat and relax by the Lazy Lagoon pool, the only one on the Island. Swahili beds are spread around the pool for your comfort while you enjoy the sun and the beautiful scenery. The energetic ones can play volleyball or other pool games.
Lunch served on the Island from 1pm, unlimited choice of:
- Seafood menu: barbecued fish and steamed crab
- Carnivore menu: Beef kebabs and barbecued chicken
- Eastern Menu: Seaweed veg, Swahili veg, veg bhajia, veg samosas
- ** All above served with coconut rice, chilly, chapatti, and Swahili sauce, followed by tropical fruit platter, Arabic coffee and sim-sim.**
- ** A well stocked cash bar with chilled drinks for your satisfaction at the restaurant. **
Village walk option after lunch
- visit the Wasini women’s boardwalk run by the women on the Island, a purely community project, extra Kshs 100/-pp.
Depart at 4.00pm back to the mainland to take the bus back home!
