The blue seas around Wasini Island have some of the most spectacular snorkeling on the Kenyan Coast and comparable — if not better, some say — than the Maldives, Great Barrier Reef and the East. Guests are often joined by dolphins and turtles amongst the myriad of fish whose homes are the colourful and interesting coral reefs. Dolphins regularly join the boats — playing in the wake. The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Kisite Marine National Park & Mpunguti Reserve and surrounding snorkel sites can be enjoyed by both the novice and experienced snorkeler
We provide, aboard the dhow, all equipment that you may need: Masks (including limited prescription masks), snorkels, fins, and a life jacket for the more nervous snorkeler. The accompanying dinghy has glass bottomed viewers if you decide not to even wet your feet. Our snorkeling team — many of whom we have been with us for many years – are underwater guides who are caring and knowledgeable. If you enjoy snorkeling, you should definitely try a dive — accompanied by an instructor — where you’re taken, after clear instruction, into another world…
