Charlie Claw’s is very committed to the well-being of the community (Wasini Island & Shimoni) in which it operates on a daily basis. We truly believe that building a strong, self sufficient community fosters cooperation that in turn creates vibrant neighbourhoods. Eco-Tourism

Charlie Claw’s has been following conservation and, more recently, Eco-Tourism ideals since the start of the day tours over 28 years ago.  We’re therefore very proud that for the Year of the Dolphin 2007, we had been given the opportunity and are working  very closely with other partners — both local and overseas. Kenya Kesho

Tomorrow is tough for lots of kids. Tomorrow for kids from poor families in Kenya can be a nightmare. Kenya Kesho  –  translated into English means “Kenya for Tomorrow – helps make tomorrow a far more optimistic and cheerful world for clever kids from very poor families. (read more)

Shimoni Slave Cave

Shimoni in Swahili means “the place of the cave.” Shimoni Caves are a fascinating historical site and were formerly used as a hiding place for the native people who hid from attacks by marauding tribes from the hinterland. (read more)

Wasini Women’s Boardwalk

Behind the village is a stunning ‘coral garden’. Here, the village women have built a boardwalk circling the coral garden and leading into the fascinating mangroves. (read more)
